U.S. entry waivers in Guelph

Refused entry to the United States, or have a record that makes you inadmissible? You need a U.S. entry waiver to cross the border, and we prepare the application in Guelph, with the documents that go with it.

Who needs one

A U.S. entry waiver gives permission to enter the United States to someone the U.S. considers inadmissible. The usual reasons are:

  • A criminal record
  • A past immigration problem, like staying longer than allowed
  • Misrepresentation to U.S. officials

We offer a confidential setting, and your information stays private.

What we do

  1. Find out why you were refused

We start with what happened at the border and the paperwork you were given.

  2. Gather the records

Your RCMP criminal record check, which needs fingerprints, and court documents. Fingerprints are taken in the same office.

  3. Prepare the application

We complete the application and organize your supporting documents, like letters of reference and proof of work.

  4. Follow up

We keep track of the application until U.S. Customs and Border Protection makes a decision.

Timing

  • 15months

is the oldest your RCMP criminal record check can be when the application is sent.

    U.S. Customs and Border Protection

  • 6months

or longer is how long a full review can take, so apply well before you plan to travel.

Questions people ask

I have a Canadian record suspension. Do I still need a waiver?

Yes. The United States makes its own decision and doesn't recognize Canadian record suspensions.

How long does a waiver last?

It's granted for a set period, then it has to be renewed. Start the renewal well before it runs out.

Who makes the decision?

U.S. Customs and Border Protection. We make sure your application is complete and well documented, but the decision is theirs.
